Virtuoso Survey Shows Clients Want to Engage in Responsible Travel

A new Virtuoso survey revealed that 82 per cent of respondents say that the pandemic has made them want to travel more responsibly in the future. 72 per cent agree that travel should support local communities and economies; travel should preserve a destination’s cultural heritage; and travel should protect the planet. Another 70 per cent think traveling sustainably enhances their vacation experience. Travellers also say that they are looking for suppliers that share a similar mindset. Nearly 8 in 10 (78 per cent) say it is “very” or “somewhat” important to choose a hotel, cruise line or travel company that has a strong sustainability policy.
