WE CALLED IT: U.S. Voting to End COVID Vaccine Mandate for Foreign Air Travellers

The U.S. House of Representatives plans to vote this week on a bill that would end COVID-19 vaccination requirements for foreign air travellers. As reported by Skift, in JUN 2022, the Biden administration dropped COVID-19 test requirements for foreign travellers, but did not lift vaccination requirements.

As Open Jaw has reported, the Biden administration announced that, as of MAY, COVID’s health emergency status will be dropped, and predicted vaccination mandates for air pax would be swiftly dropped too. The U.S. Travel Association said on 02FEB it sees “no reason to wait until the May expiration of the public health emergency — particularly as potential visitors are planning spring and summer travel.”
