Federal transport minister Omar Alghabra says this summer shouldn’t see a repeat of the chaos that plagued Canadian airports last year, the Toronto Star reports.
Airports, airlines, and the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) have hired more staff, and airport authorities are working to distribute their flight schedules more evenly.
In addition, airport systems have been modernized in preparation for the summer demand. As Open Jaw reported on 23MAY, CATSA will also be launching a new Verified Traveller program at select airports across Canada.
