Speaking with Global News on 17MAY, WestJet’s CEO Alexis von Hoensbroech said the pilots’ union “expectations are fairly high,” and there remains a “substantial gap” between the two parties.
He also said the airline’s most recent offer to the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) was “very reasonable but also very generous.” According to Global News, no update was given on 17MAY on the status of the ongoing negotiations between WestJet and its pilots.
