WestJet Restores Full Network After Cancelled Pilot Strike

WestJet has restored its full flight network capacity, which it began pre-emptively shutting down 18MAY before avoiding a potential pilot strike, reports Aerotime Hub.

As Open Jaw reported, WestJet and Swoop pilot’s were scheduled to strike on 19MAY after negotiations between the union representing the carriers’ pilots, the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), and WestJet stalled. The two sides reached a tentative agreement on the same day, allowing the carrier to resume operations, which have now reportedly returned to normal.
