What You Need to Know as the U.K. Eliminates 100ml Rule at Airport Security

The U.K. government is aiming to have scanners upgraded at all its airports by JUN 2024.

Airports with the new scanners will be able to scrap the 100ml limit on liquids passengers can bring on board; pax will be allowed to carry on up to two litres of liquids, according to Simple Flying.  In addition, the new scanners also mean electronic devices will not need to be removed from bags at security.

As Open Jaw previously reported, two U.K. airports have already ended the rule: Teesside International Airport and LCY. Trials of the new machines are underway at LGW, LHR, and LTN.
