The Henley Passport Index has released its latest rankings and analysis for 2021. The report notes that in the first quarter of 2021, international mobility was still only 12 per cent of pre-pandemic levels, meaning "the gulf between theoretical and actual travel access offered by even high-ranking passports remains significant." Canada tied at number 9 along with Australia at 185 destinations. Japan ranked first at 193, followed by Singapore (192), and then Germany and South Korea in third (191). The report also notes that some form of COVID-19 passport will likely boost travel opportunities, and those without them will face some form of travel restrictions.
