With Swoop Poised To Shut Down, Flair Airlines Also Cuts Fall And Winter P.E.I. Flights

Starting in mid-OCT, there will be a reduction in low-cost flight options to and from P.E.I., reports CBC News.

Swoop will be discontinuing operations with its final flight departing Charlottetown on 15OCT. In addition, Flair Airlines will be temporarily suspending service to and from Charlottetown during the fall and winter months, with their last flight scheduled for 10OCT.

However, Flair has expressed plans to return in 2024, citing strong summer bookings. Despite these changes, the Charlottetown airport will see increased activity this winter with the introduction of larger aircraft from Air Canada Rouge, offering twice-daily flights to Toronto and one to Montreal, along with Porter Airlines providing daily flights to Ottawa.
