A 3 km purpose-built cycling and pedestrian tunnel, Fyllingsdalstunnelen, opened in Bergen on 15APR, and lays claim to being the world’s longest.
The tunnel was built at the base of Løvstakken mountain and also serves as an evacuation route for a new tram line running parallel to it. There are art installations and various colours and lighting to break up the journey, which takes about 10 minutes to cycle and 40 to walk.
