As part of its Cities Economic Impact Report, the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has revealed that Orlando was the largest U.S. tourism destination in 2022 with an economic contribution of over USD $31 billion, representing 20 per cent of the city’s total GDP.
As reported by Breaking Travel News, this contribution is also USD $2.7 billion above 2019 levels. The report analyzed travel and tourism metrics across 82 cities around the world, including contribution to GDP, employment and traveller spend. Other top American cities include Las Vegas (2nd place), Miami, New York City and Los Angeles.
