WTTC Report Shows Which Regions Had Travel Most Impacted by Pandemic

According to the latest Economic Trends Report from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), the Asia-Pacific region was hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, with the EU coming in second. The report found that the Asia-Pacific’s Travel & Tourism sector dropped by 53.7 per cent in GDP contribution, while the EU’s similar sector dropped by 51.4 per cent. On the other hand, the Americas was the least affected major region despite declining by 42.4 per cent in 2020.
