Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has launched a new program designed to empower female entrepreneurs who are interested in hotel ownership, called “Women Own the Room.” The program is intended to overcome barriers women face in hotel development and to help them open and run their own hotels. In fall 2021, Wyndham will launch a series of events to discuss topics such as how to select sites and perform feasibility assessments, guidance on how to secure financing for a hotel, why the time is right for women to get into hotel development, and share personal stories of female hotel developers around the world. “Wyndham is ... committed to helping female owners secure financing through our network of debt and equity partners and will continue to explore and implement new and creative ways to support female hoteliers through the use of our balance sheet,” said Michele Allen, CFO, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
