YKF now Under 'Modified Operations' After Bomb Threat on Flair Plane

YFK is now no longer under full lockdown after police arrested one man following a bomb threat on a Flair Airlines plane headed from YKF to YVR on 13DEC. In a new update, Waterloo Regional Police said the airport is now under “modified operations.” The incident occurred at around 2 p.m. EST, when a “passenger reported to staff that another passenger threatened that he had a bomb on the plane," said a police spokesperson. Officers from the explosives disposal unit were still at the airport into the afternoon performing a full search of the aircraft before it was cleared to fly at 6:10 p.m.
