World Navigator

Atlas' first ship, World Navigator, recently completed its maiden call at Port of Leixões, Portugal, on 25JUL. It was greeted by port staff with a ceremonial plaque to celebrate the occasion, and was the first ship in 16 months to call at the port.

The ship sails an inaugural 11-day itinerary to Piraeus, Greece, visiting Gibraltar, Formentera, Ibiza and Capri along the way.

The World Navigator has a 200-passenger capacity with just under 100 suites and staterooms, nearly all of them including balconies. The ship is powered with a hybrid power management and propulsion system, which maximizes fuel efficiency and consumes as low as one-fifth the fuel compared to conventional cruise-ship systems. World Navigator's alternate hydro-jet propulsion system helps the ship quietly cruise up to five knots without disturbing marine wildlife.
