Windstar Cruises announced its new 79-day Grand European Bucket List Adventure, the longest ever voyage from the line, as well as new 2023 cruising itineraries.

The Grand European Bucket List Adventure

The Grand European cruise will depart from Stockholm, Sweden on 25JUL 2023 aboard its new Star Legend yacht, and will take only 312 guests to 22 countries through the Baltic, Northern Atlantic, Mediterranean and Black Seas. Windstar highlights that 71 of those days will be at port, with the remaining eight days at sea, to provide a balance of relaxation onboard between new explorations. There will also be 11 overnights in port, giving guests a chance to enjoy the cuisine and nightlight of destinations like Bordeaux, Seville, Amsterdam and Copenhagen. Along the journey, Windstar will call in Hamburg and Binz in Germany, as well as Arendal in Norway, all firsts for the line. The cruise will end on 12OCT 2023 in Istanbul, Turkey.

Windstar also notes that Star Legend is small enough to navigate through Kiel and Corinth Canals on this sailing.

This 79-day voyage, as well as other large trips from Windstar such as its 60-day Grand South Pacific and 56-day Grand Caribbean Adventure, are in response to a growing trend towards world cruises as travellers seek to book a "once-in-a-lifetime" trip.

2023 Itineraries

Windstar has also announced new itineraries in response to a record-breaking number of reservations for its small-ship cruises, and expects immediate sales of the newly announced itineraries.

“We're attributing our bookings to a pent-up demand for travel after most of the world has been sequestered for a year,” says Windstar’s President Christopher Prelog. “It's creating a swift recovery for us, so much so that my advice is to book early as increased demand is real.”

Cruises on Windstar's 2021-2023 itineraries include new regions for the line such as Australia and New Zealand, including the Great Barrier Reef; as well as rural Black Sea villages and Turkey, from Istanbul to Cappadocia; as well as the Holy Lands.

Windstar also notes that there are additional Cruise Tours, with highlights of the new land-and-cruise options including Petra at dawn, the vineyards of Portugal’s Douro Valley, Italy's Lake Como and Bellagio by private boat, Iceland’s geysers and waterfalls and more.

Windstar's brochure explains more on their recent itineraries and ships, and a digital version can be found here.

Additional details on new 2023 offerings can be found on the cruise line's website.
