
Emerald Cruises has announced that it will be visiting Saudi Arabia in 2022 with two new voyages on its first oceangoing yacht, Emerald Azzurra. Both itineraries will sail the Red Sea and will visit popular locations such as the Great Pyramids of Giza, ancient Petra and the Suez Canal while also visiting lesser-explored ports.
To celebrate the launch of the two new itineraries, Emerald Cruises is offering a bonus included Premium Drinks Package for bookings made by 31AUG 2021, providing guests with a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during their time on board. 10-day Mysteries & Treasures of the Red Sea and Saudi Arabia
This itinerary will sail between Limassol, Cyprus, and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with ports of call in Egypt and Jordan. The port city of Jeddah is the second largest city in Saudi Arabia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for being a gateway for pilgrims travelling to Mecca and Medina. Here, guests can enjoy both the history monuments and the modern shopping locations.
Duba, Saudi Arabia offers guests the opportunity to visit the historic King Abdulaziz Fort overlooking the port, or engage in snorkelling or diving on one of the beaches. In Al Wahj, also Saudi Arabia, guests will pay a visit to Al Ula – one of the oldest cities on the peninsula and the first World Heritage Site in Saudi Arabia, home to the tombs of Hegra. In addition to these new Saudi Arabian ports, guests booking this itinerary will have a chance to visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx at Port Said; travel through the Suez Canal; snorkel in the Red Sea at Sharm El-Sheikh; and visit Petra, the ancient city carved into sandstone.

This itinerary sails between Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and Athens, Greece, calling on Al Wahj, Duba, Aqaba and Sharm-el Sheik, as well as Ain Sokhna, the nearest beach resort to Cairo, Crete, Santorini and Athens. Emerald Azzurra
Emerald Azzura is the line’s first custom-built ocean superyacht which can dock at small ports and harbours only accessible by small ships. It has a guest capacity of 100 guests in 50 deluxe suites and staterooms, with the majority having access to private balconies.
