Aeroplan Adds New Airline Partner: Gulf Air

Aeroplan has announced that it is adding Gulf Air to its growing roster more than 40 airline travel partners.

Gulf Air is the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and now serves 55 cities in 30 countries with a fleet consisting of the Airbus A320 family and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The airline also offers a premium experience with its Falcon Gold Business Class.

The new partnership between Aeroplan and Gulf Air gives members a more diverse selection when looking at airline options serving the Middle East and South Asia. Aeroplan is the only frequent flyer program in North America offering the opportunity to earn and redeem on Gulf Air flights.

Aeroplan's accrual chart for flights operated by Gulf Air can be found below:

Aeroplan notes the following details:

  • Members can earn Aeroplan points based on distance flown on all scheduled flights operated by Gulf Air.
  • Flights will be priced based on Aeroplan’s pricing for partner airlines.
  • Flights can be combined with flights operated by Air Canada and Aeroplan's other international airline partners.
  • Gulf Air flights are eligible for redemption in Business and Economy classes.
  • The partner booking fee will apply for flight rewards which include travel on Gulf Air.

The addition of Gulf Air to Aeroplan's network follows the recent addition of Eurowings Discover and is its eighth new airline to join the program since JUN 2020.
