Sunwing has announced its return to Cuba following the country's easing of travel requirements for fully vaccinated Canadians.
The operator will be offering weekly flights to Varadero and Cayo Coco. Flight service will be offered from several gateways in Canada beginning in OCT and NOV 2021, including YYZ, YUL, YYC, and YEG.
It will also provide pre-departure PCR tests at $30 USD per person.
Sunwing notes that as the season progresses, more Canadian departure gateways and Cuban destinations are expected to be added to reflect evolving consumer demand.

- Between YYC and VRA, Tuesdays starting 02NOV 2021
- Between YEG and VRA, Tuesdays starting 02NOV 2021
Sunwing highlights that those looking to go to Varadero can explore the beach and activities at Grand Memories Varadero. Vacationers headed to Cayo Coco may choose to stay at Iberostar Selection Playa Pilar, with oceanfront suites; or Memories Flamenco Beach Resort, offering a range of water sports like snorkelling and catamaran rides.
Sunwing also notes that all vacation packages booked by 15OCT 2021 for departures between now and 31OCT 2021 will include complimentary COVID-19 coverage at no additional charge.
