Air Transat Resumes Direct Flights to France Beyond CDG

Air Transat announced the gradual resumption of its operations to France's regions. Starting 08APR with the departure of its first direct flight from YUL to Marseille, the carrier will connect Quebec travellers to six French destinations, from Brittany to Provence, Aquitaine and Auvergne, in the coming weeks, the airline said.

Transat will also gradually increase flight frequency between YUL and Paris, and soon relaunch its service to CDG from YYZ and YQB.

"We are very pleased to resume our flights to France's regions. These routes—most of which we operate exclusively—have been an integral part of our flight program for many years," said Joseph Adamo, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Transat.

He added: "The ties between Canada and France are very valuable and as our global recovery picks up speed, we look forward to meeting the significant latent demand."

Non-stop service to France

From YUL, Air Transat will gradually start flying back to BOD, LYS, MRS, NTE, NCE and TLS by early MAY. This enhanced flight program to the regions of France is in addition to the usual daily CDG service from YUL, which will reach up to 14 flights per week in MAY.

The carrier will also resume its direct service to CDG from YYZ on 03MAY and from YQB on 10APR.

At the height of the summer season, a total of 43 weekly flights to France will be operated from YUL, YQB, and YYZ.
