Aeroplan Points Now Convertible to Starbucks Stars

Aeroplan announced that as of 27APR, members will be able to directly convert Aeroplan points to Starbucks Stars to redeem for Starbucks coffee, food items and more.

Aeroplan points can be redeemed at a rate of 1,000 points for 200 Starbucks Rewards Stars, up to a maximum of 10,000 Aeroplan points in one transaction. From there, members can redeem their Stars in-store or in the Starbucks mobile app.

Points to Stars conversion can be done directly in an Aeroplan member’s account dashboard on web or in the Air Canada mobile app once accounts are linked.

Starbucks Stars can be used for the following rewards:

  • 25 stars - Customize your drink (espresso shot, dairy substitute, syrup, and more
  • 50 stars - Brewed hot coffee, bakery item, or hot tea
  • 150 stars - Handcrafted drink, hot breakfast, or parfait
  • 250 stars - Lunch sandwich or protein box
  • 400 stars - Select merchandise or at-home coffee

Back in 2021, Aeroplan launched its partnership with Starbucks Canada in which members can link their accounts and earn and redeem points by enjoying their favourite Starbucks food and beverages. The partnership allows Canadians to earn Aeroplan points for activities such as loading CAD $50 or more to their Starbucks Rewards app. Members will also continue to earn Starbucks Stars on their purchases through their Starbucks Rewards membership.
