SAS Launches New Routes to YYZ from Copenhagen and Stockholm

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is expanding its network in North America with the launch of direct routes to YYZ from Copenhagen and Stockholm. The airline launched its first flight to YYZ from CPH on 02JUN, which operates three times weekly. On 03JUN, the carrier launches its inaugural flight to YYZ from ARN, which will operate four times weekly. Both routes will be use SAS' new A321LR aircraft.

Using the A321LR means we can connect even more parts of the world and it is well suited for the Scandinavian market and the emerging travel patterns to and from the region,” says Anko van der Werff, President & CEO, SAS.

This state-of-the-art aircraft will give our customers an even more pleasant, comfortable and sustainable way of traveling,” van der Werff continues.

According to SAS, Toronto routes will be operated with a three-class configuration with 157 seats; 22 seats in SAS Business, 12 seats in SAS Plus (premium economy), and 123 seats in SAS Go (economy).

Seats in SAS Business are fully flat seat beds and there are different mood light scenarios in the cabins, as well as hi-speed Wi-Fi. Every seat is equipped with IFE screens, PC-power and/or hi-power USB. The A321LR is part of SAS’ ongoing fleet renewal and will reduce climate-impacting emissions in comparison to previous generations of similar aircraft.

Schedules to and from YYZ:

  • CPH - YYZ: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
  • YYZ - CPH: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
  • ARN - YYZ: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday
  • YYZ - ARN: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday

In the coming summer season, SAS will fly to a total of seven destinations in Canada and the U.S.: Toronto, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Washington DC.
