Lynx Air's first flight from YEG took to the skies on 14JUL, the airline's 10th destination and 10th network expansion in Canada. The flight also marks the commencement of five return flights each week from YEG to YYZ and YYT.
On 30JUL, the YEG-YYZ service will increase to seven flights per week and Lynx will add YHZ to its YEG network with two services a week. At that point, Lynx says it will be flying 14 flights per week in and out of YEG, or 2,646 seats per week.
The YYT and YHZ services will operate as through-flights via YYZ, providing a seamless service with a single boarding pass. Through-flights allow passengers to check bags through to their final destination and allow pax to avoid deplaning in Toronto.
To celebrate Lynx's inaugural flight from Edmonton, the airline has launched a limited-time seat sale, offering up to 50 per cent off all base fares to and from YEG. The sale ends at 11:59 p.m. MST on 16JUL 2022.
