Air Canada Connects YVR and MIA Again for First Time in Almost Two Decades

Miami Beach
Miami Beach

Air Canada will be reconnecting YVR with MIA for the first time in nearly 18 years beginning 17DEC 2022. The carrier will be operating the direct, non-stop route on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays using 169-seat B737 MAX 8 aircraft.

As reported by Simple Flying, data from the U.S. Department of Transportation shows that the YVR-MIA route was last served by Air Canada between JUL 2001 and APR 2004 on a "low-frequency" schedule.

The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau says it's "thrilled" by the news, and highlighted booking data that showed there were 56,000 roundtrip point-to-point passengers travelling between YVR and MIA in 2019, which "demonstrated the need" for the route.
