Following Sunwing’s initial winter schedule announcement in SEP of winter sun departures from four larger airports across Canada, the tour operator has announced increased capacity for the 2022-2023 winter season.
Sunwing is returning to 12 more airports this winter and is offering flights to sun destinations from a total of 26 gateways from coast to coast. From major city centres to airport operations in regions including Atlantic Canada, the Prairies, Northern Ontario and Québec, Sunwing will offer overall capacity over double that of the previous winter season.
Sunwing is adding weekly flights from YYZ and YUL to LRM, located along the south-eastern tip of the Dominican Republic, starting in DEC. La Romana is recognized as a golfing destination and offers a number of all-inclusive beachfront resorts that overlook the Caribbean Sea, including the family-friendly Iberostar Selection Hacienda Dominicus. Customers may also opt to stay at nearby Coral Costa Caribe Resort, located close to Guavaberry Golf and Country Club. Flights from YYZ to LRM will take place on Sundays starting 18DEC 2022 until 02APR 2023 and from YUL on Sundays starting 04DEC 2022 until 02APR 2023.
The addition of LRM to Sunwing’s flight schedule follows the announcement of several new and expanding destinations in recent weeks. This includes Cayo Largo, Sunwing’s newest addition in Cuba. Cayo Largo boasts over 25 kilometres of white-sand beaches and clear waters. From adults only resorts to family-friendly choices and 2SLGBTQ+ options, there are options available for stays as early as NOV onwards, such as Memories Cayo Largo.
Sunwing also has its largest Florida offering ever this year with three destinations now available. This includes flights to MIA and Orlando, plus the newest destination of MLB. Flights from YYZ to MLB will take place on Saturdays and Wednesdays starting 01DEC 2022, from YWG on Saturdays starting 10DEC 2022 and from YHZ on Fridays starting 10FEB 2023.
The tour operator is also returning to the destination of FPO with weekly flights from YYZ and YUL starting 17DEC 2022.
Clients booking can enjoy 40 per cent savings on vacation packages and other benefits with the operator’s Save More Event, on now. Savings apply to select vacation packages when booked by 06NOV 2022. The tour operator is also offering a limited-time BOGO Seat Sale, where clients can buy one seat and the get second 40 per cent off on new air only bookings made by 13NOV 2022 for winter departures between 26OCT 2022 and 30APR, 2023.
