Porter Airlines has flown its first flight between YYZ and YYT, departing St. John's on 06SEP and arriving in Toronto on the morning of 07SEP aboard its Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.
YYT passengers now have the option of using both Toronto airports. According to the airline, St. John's has been part of its network since 2009, operating with the De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft to YHZ, with onward service to YTZ, YOW and YOW. The flight to Pearson connects with Porter's new Western Canada destinations, including YVR, YYJ, YEG, YYC, and YWG, operated on the Embraer E195-E2.
"St. John's is now connected coast to coast with Porter, including access to Toronto's two airports," said Kevin Jackson, executive vice president and chief commercial officer, Porter Airlines.
According to Porter, options for extra legroom, premium pre-mixed cocktails, and fresh meals are also available on an all-inclusive basis with PorterReserve fares or purchased individually with PorterClassic fares.
