Porter Airlines has launched its daily roundtrip service between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
"The level of service that Porter provides is something that no other airline offers for economy passengers on this route. Our focus on delivering an elevated economy experience allows passengers to receive celebrity treatment before immersing themselves in the rich cultural scenes of Toronto and Los Angeles," said Kevin Jackson, executive vice president and chief commercial officer of Porter Airlines.
Operating aboard the Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, the route offers a 132-seat, all-economy configuration with a two-by-two layout. All-inclusive PorterReserve fares offer priority check-in, extra legroom, premium cocktails and fresh meals. These options are also available à la carte to passengers purchasing PorterClassic fares.
"Los Angeles was the fourth busiest transborder destination out of Toronto Pearson in 2023. We see that demand for travel between the two cities remains high, which makes Porter'sPorter's entry on the route exciting for the airport and for passengers," added Kurush Minocher, Executive Director of Customer Experience and Airline Relations at Greater Toronto Airports Authority.
Porter's EVP recently travelled to Los Angeles to show off the airline's aircraft to the media. While there, Jackson engaged in a podcast interview with the Cranky Flier.
"Rather than conducting the interview in the gate area, we had the opportunity to sit down on the actual airplane. We took seats in row 33, the last row of the aircraft, and that's where I hit the record button," explained Brett Snyder, President of Cranky Flier.
