Flight Centre and Reforest have hit their inaugural annual target of contributing one million trees four months ahead of schedule thanks to the huge demand from customers for the leading travel agency’s Captain’s Pack.
The target was set when the program launched last year and involves a contribution toward ‘
Planting for the Planet’ for every purchase of a Captain’s Pack. The pack is exclusive to Flight Centre and provides peace of mind through inclusions such as lost baggage tracking, price drop protection and waiving of selected fees in addition to the sustainability initiative.
Flight Centre Canada’s Executive Vice President, Chadd Andre, said the company was thrilled with the group’s dedication which contributes positively on a global scale byimpacting the environment through the Captain’s Pack.
“We set out to do something significant through our generous customers and in partnership with a credible sustainability partner in Reforest,” said Andre. “Planting for the Planet has seen the million trees be committed across Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Morocco, with half of them already planted, and the remainder to come later this year.”
