Arajet Transports 500,000+ Passengers in First Half of 2024

Arajet

Arajet, the Caribbean low-fare airline, reached a new historical record by flying more than half a million passengers in the first six months of the year, the airline reported.

According to data published by the Civil Aviation Board of the Dominican Republic (JAC) Arajet flew some 399 thousand passengers from January to June, which added to the more than 120 thousand passengers in connections reported by the airline, totaling about 520 thousand passengers in the first half of the year, which represents that this airline in only 6 months of 2024 has already flown the same number of passengers as in all of 2023.

The airline indicated that with these numbers, it plans to close 2024, transporting around 1,100,000 passengers, expanding with new routes, and beginning operations at Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) on November 1st of this year to increase the network of destinations and connections in the continent.

According to the report of Dominican airline traffic presented by the Dominican Republic Civil Aviation Board for June, Arajet had the highest passenger movement, resulting in the most activity in its nearly two years of operations; this represents 79% of all passengers who travelled on Dominican airlines in the country's different airports.

Arajet reiterates its commitment to the development of commercial aviation and to continuing to offer a memorable experience with the highest international standards in its modern and comfortable aircraft.

They expressed that Dominicans have made it their flagship airline and their main travel option to fly to the 23 destinations where they operate. They thanked the confidence of transit travelers who use this new hub to connect from Canada to the Southern Cone.
