AmaWaterways Launches ‘Cruise for Gold’ Travel Advisor Contest

As the anticipation and excitement continue to rise for the start of this year’s Summer games on July 26, 2024, in France, AmaWaterways is joining the fun with its own ‘Cruise for Gold’ travel advisor incentives, offering Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals to three travel advisors.

A Gold Medal wins a luxury suite on AmaWaterways 12-day Secrets of Egypt & the Nile River cruise, departing between Sept 2024 and March 2025, as well as Business Class roundtrip air from award-winning airline Turkish Airlines. A Silver Medal winner enjoys a twin-balcony stateroom on any European itinerary from September 2024 to March 2025, excluding Portugal. And a Bronze Medal winner takes home a French balcony stateroom on any European itinerary from September 2024 to March 2025, excluding Portugal. All prizes are for a travel advisor and guest, and subject to availability.

The contest entry path is simple – travel advisors are automatically entered for every new fully-deposited booking on any 2024 and 2025 French itinerary made during the Summer Games timeframe (July 26 to September 8, 2024). The more bookings, the more entries. Winners will be drawn at random and announced on September 9. A flyer summarizing the details of the contest can be found at 2024_CruiseforGold_Contest.pdf.

To help travel partners maximize reservations during this period, AmaWaterways has produced a wide range of marketing materials including social reels, imagery, and videos – all available at the line’s Travel Agent portal: Travel Agent Home Page | AmaWaterways™. A new video and additional reels for social media featuring AmaWaterways French cruises have been added to the sales/marketing materials. A France-themed webinar will be shown on July 24 – registration can be found at Registration (gotowebinar.com).

The award-winning luxury river cruise line is already seeing strong demand for its French itineraries, as the Summer Games have drawn great interest for the French Experience, both before and after the Games. In order to meet demand, the company has introduced a new Flavors of Burgundy itinerary for 2024, catering to discerning tastes and highlighting the elegance of the Burgundy region. For guests looking for even more, two new offerings in 2025 are the 14-night Grand Seine & Bordeaux and Grand Seine & Rhône, combining the best of French history, art, food, and wine.

“Over the coming weeks the eyes of the world will be on France” comments Alex Pinelo, Senior Vice President, Sales at AmaWaterways. “Every day, millions of people will be watching live streams from many parts of France, and this will undoubtedly bring the destination to the forefront of their minds. It’s not just Paris that will be hosting events, Bordeaux, Marseille and Lyon are all operating as Summer Games venues and will be in the spotlight too. The travel advisor community has a great opportunity to capitalize on France’s high profile and earn both great commissions and fabulous prizes.”

AmaWaterways operates a choice of eight French itineraries across five ships, more than any other luxury river cruise line. Travel Advisor clients enjoy a more in-depth river cruising experience at a slower pace and a complete cultural immersion in specific regions with AmaWaterways.

Cruising with AmaWaterways includes fine dining in multiple venues, including The Chef's Table specialty restaurant, unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks with lunch and dinner, daily Sip & Sail cocktail hour with wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks, a daily variety of small group excursions, including hiking, biking and special interest tours, high-quality Wi-Fi, a Wellness Program with a variety of host-led fitness classes, airport transfers, and much more.
