Collette’s “The Northern Lights of Finland” and “Iceland’s Magical Northern Lights,” are designed to give travellers the best opportunity to see the natural light show, while also showcasing each country’s rich culture and natural wonders.

In Finland, travellers search for the northern lights from the comfort of their own igloo in Kakslauttanen. In Iceland, there are northern lights searches by cruise and by coach to bring travellers to the best areas for sightings.

“We know that experiencing the northern lights is one of the biggest draws for travellers looking to explore Scandinavia, but we’re not always able to guarantee that they see them,” said Jaclyn Leibl-Cote, chief executive officer at Collette. “That means two things to us. First, we want to give them the best chance to see this natural light show. With activities dedicated to doing just that. Second, these tours give travellers so much more. These are beautiful countries and we explore them in unique ways. Our travellers are whisked through the snow by dogsled as they venture through Finland’s great outdoors. When they’re in Iceland they get to see floating icebergs in Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon.”

“The Northern Lights of Finland” small group Explorations tour brings travellers big experiences with a smaller maximum group size of 24. With an average of 19 travellers and a maximum of 24, the intimate group size provides more immersive experiences into Finnish culture and history when they explore Helsinki with a local expert. Other highlights include a reindeer safari with a local herder and a sleigh ride on the way to a traditional Finnish breakfast. Travellers can book seats on “The Northern Lights of Finland” for departures as early as 31 October 2024, with prices starting at $5,599 USD pp.

“Iceland’s Magical Northern Lights” guides travellers to the Golden Circle, home to renowned natural wonders. There, they’ll journey through Thingvellir National Park, visit Gullfoss waterfall, and see the explosive geothermal fields at Geysir. Other highlights include visiting Skógar Museum, walking on a black volcanic sand beach, and relaxing in the warm water of the Blue Lagoon. Travellers can book seats on “Iceland’s Magical Northern Lights” for departures as early as 12 September 2024 with prices starting at $3,399 USD pp.
