“People Want to Travel if the Price is Right:” TTAND’s Friisdahl on Record Sales

During TTAND’s recent VIP Supplier event at Toronto’s Royal York Hotel, founder and CEO, Flemming Friisdahl reported a record for host agency sales of CAD $400 million in 2023, telling Open Jaw's Natasha McKenty there is overwhelming demand for "bigger ticketed items" despite a predicted recession.

"Our first two weeks of October were up 15%, and our last two weeks of October were about 50%. So it tells you that people want to travel if the price is right.

"For next year, our books look very strong, with most of them being up 30 to 40%."
