Vanessa Lee and Lynn Elmhirst Review HAL’s Third and Final Pinnacle-Class Ship: IN FOCUS

Holland America Line's newest flagship, the Rotterdam, makes history in more ways than one.

This newest Rotterdam is the seventh in the fleet's 149-year history. She's the third of the line's Pinnacle class ships, and the last.

Vanessa Lee, president of Cruise Strategies, and Open Jaw's Lynn Elmhirst, both sailed on the Rotterdam's inaugural voyage in North America, and when they sat down together to share their reviews of the history-making ship, they agreed that the numbers don't tell the full tale of the Rotterdam.

They discussed what they believe will make this ship a great success for Holland America Line, beginning this winter. The Rotterdam will be one of four HAL ships in the Caribbean this season, with all itineraries including calls at the line's top-rated private island, Half Moon Cay.
