Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

I'm Growing Into My Big Fat Sun Brochure

There’s no mistaking that it’s almost that time of year when it gets to be that time of year again, eh Pumpkins? The winter glossies are hitting the travel trenches with a thud.

Is it just me or are those things developing a mid-brochure spread? We’ve had to reinforce the display stands here with some kind of rebar – which apparently has nothing to do with ordering another round.

It’s as though every time I pop a new roll of plump, the brochures get heavier. I thought we were moving towards an eco-lithe ‘I’ll only have a salad’ type of printing situation? Instead, everyone’s gone all super-size-me. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with a little extra meat on the bones and a tight T. No mistaking that operator’s got big product, if you know what I mean.

What I want to know is who’s going to sell all that? After the initial gluttonous orgy, is it all going to end up in the slightly bruised bin? 50% off – must sell – nearing expiry date. I’m just asking.
