The 2nd story says that the airlines are the sure winners in the distribution battle. Reminds me of the time when studies about travel agent extinction ran next to research about travel agent resurrection.
The fact is, the number of agencies using a GDS fell to 72% this year from 90% in 2005. If I remember correctly, if any other business experienced those numbers, the CEO would be fired (or at least made to wear clown pants) and the product completely overhauled.
