No human male can resist the pull of a plane. It’s in their DNA, Pumpkins. They all end up succumbing to the mistress of the air.
Now when I see Michael Friisdahl, Eamonn Ferrin and Nino Montagnese in one room, I’ll need a trail of breadcrumbs to know I’m not on Merton St. (Do they have to group together like that? Like little herds of travel bunnies.) They have fallen hard for the red one. It’s very trying, dahrlings, for people my age to have to keep up with the revolving brands travel execs are shilling. It’s hard enough to remember where I am, never mind where everybody else is.
Take Dean Dacko, Duncan Bureau and Hugh Dunleavy - seduced by an Asian beauty. Did all 3 of them happen to be slumming around Kuala Lumpur looking for work at the same time? I once hung around there for a whole week and nobody offered me a fat cat position at Malaysia Airlines. (Although a few positions I’d never even heard of were suggested.)
And of course, Porter now plans on playing with the big boys. They’ve bought some nice new jets which don’t fit on their runway. Never mind. It’s such an old story. Little carrier does good. Starts to grow up and notices his aircraft doesn’t measure up to the older carrier’s.
