Excuse me, dahrlings, but...

It's Sooo Sochi

Yesterday Putin nestled a leopard in his lap for the cameras – ostensibly to show his cuddly side. The leopard then turned on the journalists, biting and scratching them -- demonstrating once again, dahrlings, that a big pussy in the lap of a dictator overseeing a city marked by terrorists is not a safe spectator sport. Been there, done that. I’m staying home.

And then there’s the Aeroflot flight loaded with athletes bound for Sochi which failed to get off the ground in Frankfurt. Just before the airport closed for the night.

Hotels don’t have light bulbs or water or, in many cases, a lobby.

But the truly important people are our dear young athletes. They put life and limb on the line every time they compete and surely don’t need the added pressure of looking out for a 20-something woman who might or might not have a bomb strapped to her chest. Holy Olympics, Pumpkins! How are they supposed to focus on their form when the Americans just put out an alert? I know I’m off balance and I’m not focusing on anything.
