Air Canada Vacations Concludes Cross-Country DreamMakers Tour On a High Note

Nino Montagnese, VP of ACV

Air Canada Vacations (ACV) celebrated the conclusion of its five-event #ACVDreamMakers product launch in Toronto on 21SEP. The events collectively hosted over 2,500 advisors across Canada. In Toronto, as a troupe of singers and dancers "high-kicked" the evening off, the large crowd of attendees were swept off their feet and into the festive spirit.

Nino Montagnese, VP of ACV, reflected on the journey that began in Halifax. Speaking with Open Jaw ahead of the Toronto event, he remarked, "Our journey began in Halifax, and this is the final event. With 900 travel agents joining us, there's a lot of energy in the room," he observed.

Toronto was the largest event of the #ACVDreamMakers tour. Guests enjoyed a pre-event spread inspired by the flavours of Mexico and the Caribbean. On the exhibition floor, 70 suppliers surrounded the stage, featuring providers of both sun and global destinations. In his opening speech, ACV's VP invited attending advisors to "dream bigger and see the world," adding 'it is not only the sun and beaches."

The event wasn't just about business; entertainment was at its core. Attendees were treated to an escape room experience sponsored by Aeroplan, where participants accumulated Aeroplan miles. "Every participant leaves with a reward," a representative from the marketing team told OJ, explaining the long line-up that stretched out the door.

Montagnese opened the event's presentations by acknowledging his delight to be back in person. "We're celebrating our new collections, and I'm happy to be here," he noted. "The last time we did this was in 2019. So, it's phenomenal to be here with all of you tonight."

After successful events in Halifax, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Montreal, Montagnese conveyed to Open Jaw in an on-camera interview in Toronto that ACV is not just about sun-filled destinations but also the global reach to transport Air Canada passengers to every destination the airline serves.

He elaborated on the company's focus over the past year, emphasizing the enhancements to their online booking system and the upcoming launch of an "Insta Quote" tool, with more details to be released in the next month.

"I promise you this tool is going to be phenomenal," he told Open Jaw. "It's going to give you all the functionality you don't have today."

The event highlighted ACV's second annual Dream of Sun interactive digital brochure, launched on 06SEP. The digital brochure provides access to the 2023-2024 Sun Collection, featuring over 1000 hotels across 45 destinations, primarily all-inclusive. The new edition incorporates 63 new hotels and 25 semi-exclusive resorts, as Open Jaw has reported.

Montagnese's concluding thoughts encompassed ACV's vision. "From Asia to the rich history of the Middle East, from South to Central America, to the Pacific, we are a one-stop shop to a world of possibilities.

"I'd like us to celebrate the spirit of adventure, the opportunity to create lasting memories and to explore unchartered territories of our planet. With Air Canada Vacations, it really is your world to discover," he said.
