TravelBrands Raises $300,000 for SickKids

On 07SEP, 2023, TravelBrands hosted its 8th Annual Charity Golf Classic at the Eagles Nest Golf Club. According to TravelBrands, the event saw participation from 144 industry partners and raised CAD $296,646 in support of the Labatt Family Heart Centre at The Hospital for Sick Children.

“Our Annual Charity Golf Classic is always an event we look forward to,” says Nathalie Tanious, President and CEO of TravelBrands.

“As a proud SickKids Foundation donor, our collective efforts have now raised over $2 million for SickKids to help enhance and save countless lives in their cardiac department. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our exceptional partners, dedicated colleagues, shining staff, and all our friends in the travel industry for coming together to make this possible.”

The event featured dinner, silent and live auctions and an inspiring address by SickKids alum, Brianna Buckle, who was met with a standing ovation.

According to the organization, TravelBrands continues to showcase its dedication to the SickKids Foundation through various charitable initiatives, such as an employee 5-kilometre walk and SickKids Day, where 1% of all sales are contributed to the foundation.
