With Hawaii reporting high vaccination rates and COVID-19 cases falling, Governor David Ige announced reduced COVID-19 restrictions for businesses and activities starting 01DEC. On that date, all restrictions on social gatherings, gyms, bars and restaurants will be lifted. Mayors will also have additional flexibility to adjust emergency regulations, with Honolulu mayor Rick Blangiardi announcing the end of social distancing requirements for large events and social gatherings also beginning 01DEC.
