An online rumour is circulating that Disney is considering moving Disney World to Atlanta, Pensacola News Journal is reporting. The rumour was sparked by a satirical article saying the entertainment giant had purchased a massive parcel of land near the city.
There is no evidence that the company is seriously considering the move. However, the rumour gained traction due to the long-running feud between Disney and Florida governor Ron DeSantis, as well as major layoffs across the company, including its parks. And this is not the first discussion of Disney World moving: as Open Jaw has reported, a Democratic state senator in North Carolina has invited Disney to resettle in that nearby state.
