Las Vegas Top Corporate Travel Destination Despite COVID Emergency Order

Corporate travel agency TripActions has released a new report on the most popular U.S. destinations for business travel, and Las Vegas ranks number one despite the rise in Delta variant cases and COVID-19 emergency order. Despite low business travel numbers earlier in 2021, data is seeing these figures begin to rise. “Our booking data show a recent spike in bookings, as offices reopen, business travelers schedule meetings and events resume in-person,” said Danny Finkel, chief travel officer at TripActions. One factor behind this influx may be the successful performance of the first major trade shows, World of Concrete, which boosted business traveller confidence. “Surveys have shown that the majority of business travelers are vaccinated; many have already travelled successfully for leisure and are willing to resume business travel,” added Finkel. In the business destination rankings, Las Vegas was followed by Austin, San Francisco, Denver, Orlando, Chicago, Phoenix, New York, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Boston in that order.
